Gael Monfils has released Episode 1 of La Monf Story—a YouTube series following the Frenchman on tour.

His series is reminiscent of Vasek Pospisil's YouTube channel, Bounce, but the Canadian hasn't posted a new episode in five months.

The first episode of La Monf Story follows Monfils' offseason training in Miami as he plotted his comeback from a right knee injury.

Monfils took inspiration from Federer's return from injury in 2017, calling it amazing and motivating. Monfils can say he is off to a Federer-like start in 2018, winning Doha—his first event since retiring from the third round of the US Open four months ago.

The 31-year-old's ranking took a tumble during his time away, slipping down to No. 46, but he's already back to No. 39 with the ATP 250 title in hand.
