Stephens makes the switch to Nike

After seizing on her first major title in September, Sloane Stephens remains on the rise. In an image published to her social media channels, she announced that she has hopped from the Under Armour stable over to the Nike Court clan.

Details of Stephens' deal were not disclosed. She joins a crowded Nike house that includes WTA peers Maria Sharapova, Madison Keys, Victoria Azarenka, Petra Kvitova and many more. ATP stars including Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Grigor Dimitrov, Jack Sock and Nick Kyrgios also command contracts to sport the swoosh.

Stephens, the 2017 US Open champion, will be in action next week in Sydney and she wants you to know it:

All eyes will be on her in 2018 to see how she may follow up her comeback-turned-breakthrough year, likely with a "just do it" attitude.
