Serena bids farewell to 2017 with Instagram collection

Serena Williams said goodbye to 2017 with three 10-part Instagram posts highlighting the biggest moments of her year.

The first displayed personal moments, such as finding out she was pregnant, winning the Australian Open and gracing the cover of Vanity Fair. In Melbourne last January, Williams set the Open-era record for the most Grand Slam singles titles with 23.

The second post showcased her engagement and marriage to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. The wedding took place in New Orleans in November.

Finally, she shared 10 videos of her four-month-old daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.

On Saturday, Williams played her first match since her maternity leave, an exhibition versus reigning French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko. Ostapenko took the match in a super tiebreak. Williams has yet to decide if she will play the Australian Open.
