The organizers of the Miami Open are set to move the tournament to a new home in 2019.

According to reports, the Miami-Dade County Commission voted unanimously to move the Miami Open from Crandon Park to Hard Rock Stadium, the home of the Miami Dolphins. A dispute over past tournament expenses had briefly held up the deal between the county and IMG, the sports conglomerate that owns the Miami Open.

Upcoming plans for the tournament include a new tennis complex next to Hard Rock stadium, with funding from Dolphins owner Stephen Ross. In the meantime, matches will be played on temporary courts above the football field.

The announcement means that 2018 will be the final year that Crandon Park will host the event.

Roger Federer and Johanna Konta were the 2017 champions.
