From getting engaged to announcing his retirement from the sport after the Australian Open, to enduring injuries and enjoying golf escapades in between, fan favorite Sam Groth's 2017 season has been bittersweet.

In May during Roland Garros, Groth got down on one knee to propose to his now-fiance Britt.

In October, Groth announced he'll be hanging his racquet after 2018 Australian Open, his home Slam.
