The Australian Open and Tennis Australia, two bodies of the sport never afraid to innovate, have announced the latest tennis video game, AO Tennis.

It's set to be released in conjunction with next month’s Australian Open. The first Grand Slam of the year in Melbourne will play host to many new changes in the sport, and the newest tennis video game will complement that movement.

While details are still yet to emerge as to how the new video game will be played and any new features different from tennis games of the past, AO Tennis appears to be the cleanest and best produced tennis video game yet. It boasts stunning graphics and details in the trailer.

Tennis has long fallen behind other sports like football, basketball and baseball in terms of video game production, which helps entice younger audiences to take interest in the sport. Tennis seems to be recognizing its need to reach out to the millennial crowd in an attempt to push tennis even more into video game format.
