It's unbelievable that just over one year ago, Caroline Wozniacki wasn't denying retirement rumors. Now, the Dane is standing at No. 3 after the biggest title of her career in Singapore. She reached six finals before finally winning a title in Tokyo, and then just went up from there.

Moment of the Year

Wozniack nearly going undefeated at the WTA Finals in Singapore was impressive, to say the least. She lost a round-robin match to Caroline Garcia, but notched wins over Elina Svitolina, Simona Halep, Karolina Pliskova and Venus Williams to end up on top.

Hot Shot of the Year

The 27-year-old's fitness and defensive skills are her biggest assets. In Miami, Wozniacki put together all of her talents during a marathon point against Lucie Safarova, and finished it off with a perfect lob:

Outlook for 2018

It has to happen for Wozniacki. "It" being a Grand Slam trophy. She's proven she can beat top players in succession, so why not at a major? Wozniacki reached No. 1 for the first time back in 2010, and has taken a lot of punches since then to get back toward the top. She can at least reach a Grand Slam final again this coming season.
