Fabio Fognini was pushing himself hard at the China Open, and against Alexander Zverev it seemed like the young wouldn't take over the old. In the middle of the first set, each player produced a bevy of skillful shots; a backhand smash, a perfect lob, a tweener, and a drop shot.

Fognini won the point, but ultimately ended up losing to Zverev, 6-4, 6-2.
