With Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal dominating the ATP tour, and many of the top contenders ending their seasons early, 2018 is primed to produce some electric battles between rivals, both new and storied. Baseline will countdown the most anticipated rivalries of the new year:

Head-to-Head record: Djokovic leads 25-11

The Serbian and the Brit had a lackluster 2017 season. Both ended their year early before the start of the US Open with injuries. However, previous years have seen the former world No. 1's battle in classic Grand Slam finals, such as the 2015 and 2016 Australian Open's, and the 2016 French Open final where Djokovic capped off his career Grand Slam.

The 2018 season will prove to be a revitalization for both players, but it will be Murray who will have to prove himself, being far behind in their head-to-head record.
