WATCH: Schiavone injures ankle on stray tennis ball

Francesca Schiavone's offseason training has been put on hold after a rookie mistake during practice. The 2010 French Open champion failed to clear the court of stray balls and rolled her ankle quite badly after an unlucky step.

Schiavone will be out of action for a month, and is in a booted cast.

The 37-year-old finished the season just inside the Top 100 at No. 94 after adding her eighth career title in Bogota.
