It was a pretty quiet week here in Melbourne. I got back on court for a couple of hits during the week, as well as getting myself back in the gym. It’s still a long way until the start of the Australian summer so I won’t start full training for another week or two, but it’s good to keep the body ticking over.

On Monday, I recorded a podcast with Mark Howard for his series "The Howie Games." He interviews a lot of Australian sportspeople and it was great to just sit and chat about my journey. I'm not sure when he will release the episode but I’ll make sure to post it.

We are currently in the middle of the Spring Racing Carnival in Melbourne, one of the biggest events on the Australian sports calendar. Saturday, Britt and I went to Derby Day. Britt went with a bunch of friends and then she met me later, we were guests of the Herald Sun. It’s a massive series of race days here where everyone is dressed up in their finest, and every day had a different theme. We were also due to go two more times next week.

After the races, I went straight to Hisense Arena to watch a Melbourne United basketball game. It’s become one of my favorite things to do and the team got their second win of the week.

Sunday I hit the golf course and then we joined Britt’s grandmother for lunch. After that I crashed on the couch early, because the week actually wasn’t that quiet after all.
