Haase gets up to theatrics against Del Potro in Paris

Robin Haase put forth a theatrical performance on Thursday in Paris. Taking on Juan Martin del Potro, the world No. 43 pulled off a rare bounce-back volley. The trick shot requires putting enough underspin on the ball for it to bounce back over to your side of the net.

That wasn't the only trick the Dutchman had in his arsenal on Thursday. He also attempted a left-handed forehand off a Del Potro net cord. It almost worked:

Haase plays right handed but is actually a lefty. Despite the 7-5, 6-4 loss to Del Potro, the 30-year-old enjoyed a great week with two big wins (over Steve Johnson and Alexander Zverev).

Del Potro, meanwhile, continues the hunt for a spot in the ATP Finals in London. He needs one more win (over John Isner) to take the final spot from Pablo Carreno Busta. Either way, Del Potro's quarterfinal berth means he will return to the Top 10 for the first time since July 2014. It also means Novak Djokovic will leave the Top 10 for the first time since 2007.
