With a 7-5, 6-4 win over Garbine Muguruza in Singapore, Venus Williams advanced to the WTA Finals semifinals. The 37-year-old was in a good mood right after the victory, and playfully revealed the secret to her long-lasting success.

"I use a lot of sun protection, sunscreen. I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables," Williams said. "That's been the key to my success."

The world No. 5 has been asked the same question a lot this year, and hasn't failed to give an entertaining answer (see: Australian Open).

The win on Thursday was revenge for her Wimbledon final loss to Muguruza. In her five career appearances at the year-end championships, Williams has never not advanced to the semifinals.
