Yes, that's a one-handed backhand from a normally two-handed Caroline Garcia. At the WTA Finals in Singapore, after losing to Simona Halep on Monday, Garcia knew she had to bring it all against Elina Svitolina on Wednesday.

The Frenchwoman just barely lost the first set, and lost her cool during the changeover when her father (also her coach) came on court.

Wiping aside her tears, the 24-year-old won the second set. She went down 5-3 in the third, but her one-handed backhand came to play, and she reeled off four straight games.

Garcia was so proud of her hot shot that she mentioned it during the press conference afterwards.

By winning 6-7 (7), 6-3, 7-5, Garcia kept her hopes of a WTA Finals semifinal spot alive.
