At the WTA Finals in Singapore, Caroline Garcia took part in a unique interview. Thanks to a crafty production effort, Garcia got to interview herself.

The Frenchwoman, playing in her singles debut in Singapore, dropped her opening match to Simona Halep. On Wednesday, she fought back from a 3-5 deficit in the deciding set against Elina Svitolina to score her first-ever singles Singapore win.

Garcia's not a new face in Singapore though, having played in the doubles draw twice (in 2015 and '16).

"It feels different but I’m sure the experience of the past year will help me," Garcia says about her singles debut. "I really feel comfortable here."

She plays Caroline Wozniacki on Friday with a shot of making the Singapore semifinals if she wins and Halep loses to Svitolina.
