Antwerp local favorites David Goffin and Steve Darcis took on their French neighbors Benoit Paire and Sebastien Grosjean in the European Open Pedalo Cup.

The paddle-boat race was refereed by none other than Nick Kyrgios, who brought Grosjean on as a part-time coach in May (though the arrangement doesn't seem to still be in tact).

The Belgians won, which you would think would give them some confidence heading into November's Davis Cup final versus France. Although, something tells us that Paire—France's No. 5—and Grosjean—who retired in 2010—won't be captain Yannick Noah's top choices for the tie.

Goffin is the first seed at the ATP 250 event, while Kyrigos is the third (and both received byes). Darcis contends his first round on Wednesday, while Paire lost on Tuesday.
