In Shanghai, Roger Federer won his 27th career ATP Masters 1000 crown by taking out Rafael Nadal, 6-4, 6-3. He did so thanks to plenty of hot shots and dominant, aggressive play. Oh, and impeccable serving:

The crown is Federer's sixth this season in 10 tournament appearances. It's his 94th career title.

Federer's comeback season has been incredible (with two Grand Slam titles, three ATP Masters 1000 titles and a crown in Halle). But the most impressive part may be his dominance over Nadal (he's beaten him four times this season).

Nadal still leads the ATP rankings by nearly 2,000 points. There are 3,000 points left to battle for in Basel, Paris and the ATP Finals in London. But Federer has been clear that he's not concerned with the year-end No. 1 ranking, and is more concerned about maintaining his health and winning in London.
