I got back on court this week, hitting with some of the younger Australian guys in Melbourne at Melbourne Park. It was nice to get back on court after a week off, but not so nice to be experiencing Melbourne when it's 10 degrees Celsius. My mornings were for training and my afternoons were spent getting ready to head back to the U.S.... or playing golf.

Britt and I went to the football again Friday night, this time at the MCG to watch Sydney play against Geelong. Unfortunately, the Swans lost and the season is now over.

It's been great to spend some at time home and recharge the batteries before hitting the road for the last three months of the year. Saturday morning I had a 4 a.m. wake up to head to the airport and start what ended up being a 29-hour trip to Tampa, Fl.

The good thing about the early wake up was that I was able to watch the Aussie boys in Davis Cup in Belgium. It was disappointing not to be there with the team, and eventually the guys went down 3-2. But being a part of the Australian Davis Cup team is something I'm incredibly proud of and the guys left it all out there.

So, now I'm in Florida with my coach, and I will stay here for the next four or five days before heading to California for my first tournament. I'll try to keep everyone updated with what I get up to while here.
