Andy Roddick was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame on July 22 after just five years of retirement, the minimum amount of time that must lapse between a player's last match and first ballot.

His biggest career highlight was winning the 2003 US Open as a 21-year-old. During his 12-year career, the American’s signature weapon was a huge serve he says he discovered at the age of 16 out of anger—one of many revealing tidbits in this episode of TenniStory, from Tennis Channel.

The former world No. 1 spent most of his career trying to replicate his success in New York, reaching four more Grand Slam finals, winning 32 career ATP titles and spending nine years inside the Top 10. He never did capture a second major, but the 34-year-old remains the last American male to win a Grand Slam singles title.
