Taylor Fritz may just be a 19-year-old American teenager, but he's got a lot on his plate these days. The world No. 131 is juggling the demands of the pro tour with fatherhood. His wife Racquel gave birth to their son, Jordan, on January 20.

"For me the challenges are more specific, just because I have to travel and play. I have to go on train," Fritz said. "It's just not being able to spend every single second and night with him. But I do my best. I get home in the afternoon and from then on it's just dad time."

Last year, the Californian reached a career-high ranking of No. 53. His season in 2017 hasn't been as sky rocketing. He began with an ATP Challenger final in February, but has struggled to go deep at ATP World Tour events.

There's no doubt he'll be trying to lift his ranking back up this summer during the hard-court season, and especially at the US Open.

"Before it was just about me playing tennis and wanting to be the best," Fritz said. "Now it's more so I want to just do everything I possibly can for them and do well in tennis so I can give them everything that they need."
