Johanna Konta made history on Tuesday by becoming the first female Brit in 39 years to reach the Wimbledon semifinals. The joy of the moment was taken away from her though, by someone in the crowd.

On match point in the third set, Halep hit a very deep backhand to Konta's forehand, which Konta returned as a spectator shrieked—really loudly.

Halep's next shot was buried deep in the net, and with both looking confused and Konta not even celebrating, they shook hands.

It's up to the chair umpire to decide if an interference warrants a replay. It was an awkward ending for an epic match that saw the two women trade tiebreak sets before Konta began to run away with the third set, 6-7 (2), 7-6 (5), 6-4.
