Now that’s how you close out a match.

Grigor Dimitrov advanced to the third round at Wimbledon with a thorough dismantling of Marcos Baghdatis. In a battle between former semifinalists, it was the No. 13 seed that came through in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, 6-1, in under two hours.

Dimitrov produced magic throughout the match, including on this point, where he somewhat accidentally hit an incredible trick shot.

If a player doesn’t hear “out” on a questionable call, they’re taught to keep playing the point, unless they’re absolutely sure the ball is long or wide. And if you have to go behind the back to keep the ball in play, so be it.

Going in, this match wasn’t exactly a given win for Dimitrov. After starting off 2017 with title victories in two of his first three tournaments, the Bulgarian's season cooled off significantly.

Until his semifinal showing at Queen’s Club a couple of weeks ago, Dimitrov hadn’t reached a semifinal since his title-winning triumph in Sofia back in February.

The 26-year-old has looked strong in his first two matches at Wimbledon, though: After being pushed to a tiebreak in the first set of his opening match against Diego Schwartzman, he hasn’t dropped more than three games in a set since.
