On Sunday, unseeded Feliciano Lopez emerged the victor at Queen's Club after a flurry of top seeds faltered early on. Lopez, an esteemed veteran at 35, was one of the players to deal a fatal blow to a title contender. He ousted No. 2 seeded Stan Wawrinka in the first round, notably in straight sets.

Lopez would save a match point in his quarterfinal 7-6 (5), 6-7 (1), 7-5 win over Tomas Berdych, and then save another one in the final, which he won 4-6, 7-6 (2), 7-6 (8) over Marin Cilic.

Along the way, Lopez showed that he's fully capable of keeping up with the younger guns on tour, rolling out his own diving volley:

Queen's Club is his biggest title to date, having won five other ATP titles (his first way back in 2004).

"When me and my generation started playing, we were very young. I started playing professional, maybe I was 18 or 17, my first tournaments on the tour," he told press in London. "When I was 30 years old, I thought, OK, I played a long career, but if I want to still be success, I need to take care of myself."

With the ATP 500 win, Lopez moves up to No. 25 in the rankings. He's been on a tear this grass season, having also reached the final of Stuttgart. Fellow 35-year-old Roger Federer may have solidified himself as the favorite, but Lopez will certainly be one to watch.
