Maria Sharapova will return from her injury hiatus at World TeamTennis on July 16. Playing for the Orange County Breakers, she'll be the marquee attraction for the season opener in San Diego and for a home match on July 24.

The former No. 1 was a WTT regular in her early career, making her debut as a 15-year-old and last appearing for the Breakers in 2010.

It's a fitting location for the 30-year-old's second comeback of 2017. In the midst of her 15-month ITF suspension last year, Sharapova played in the WTT Smash Hits exhibition in Las Vegas alongside Andy Roddick, Martina Navratilova and John McEnroe.

Since returning in April, Sharapova has played just three clay events before injuring her thigh in Rome.

She's currently ranked No. 179.
