Should the new catchphrase for soccer superstar David Beckham be “Watch Tennis like Beckham” instead of “Bend it like Beckham?”

On Thursday, Beckham, a long-time tennis fan, brought his son Romeo to take in the action in London. The father and son enjoyed the day of tennis despite all three top seeds crashing out in their openers (including one of Beckham’s favorite to watch, world No. 1 Andy Murray).

“I think when you look at role models, you want them to be passionate about the sport. You want them to be passionate about what they do, play hard all the time and [Murray's] one of those players,” Beckham said in an interview last year. “It’s great for any young kid to have great role models in sport and Andy’s definitely one of those for many kids around the world.”

In the same interview, Beckham said that Romeo, who is now 14, plays tennis “four or five times a week.” Romeo was even lucky enough to hit some balls with Murray last year.

His dad enjoys tennis, too; it’s common to find Beckham taking in some of the best tennis in the world. You will likely see him at Wimbledon, too.

Last year, Beckham showed off some of his famous hand-eye coordination from his seat at the All England Club:

So, now you can “Catch it like Beckham” while “Watching Tennis like Beckham.”
