CoCo Vandeweghe has made a change to her coaching team by hiring Australian Pat Cash just in time for the grass-court season. Cash, a former world No 4 and Wimbledon champion, is a fitting choice for the big-serving American.

"I respect Pat greatly as both a player and a coach," Vandeweghe said. "To work with a quality guy like him will be a great learning experience. I'm really looking forward to it."

The world No. 25 has had some of her best career results on grass, winning twice in 's-Hertogenbosch and reaching the quarterfinals of Wimbledon in 2015.

Cash has worked with Mark Philippoussis, Greg Rusedski and Vince Spadea in the past. Vandeweghe parted ways with her coach of two years, Craig Kardon, after falling in the first round of the French Open.
