WATCH: Safarova and Mattek-Sands put on juggling show

Team Bucie began their French Open defense with a win.

Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Lucie Safarova got off to a winning start in Paris on Thursday. The pair, known as Team Bucie, breezed past Alize Cornet and Elise Martens, 6-1, 6-2. They've been dancing for a while now, but lately added juggling to their repertoires.

Mattek-Sands and Safarova are the defending champions in Paris. They won the Australian Open earlier this year as well as the US Open last year.

In singles, Mattek-Sands took out Petra Kvitova to reach the third round.

Safarova dropped out in the first round to Veronica Cepede Royg. She and Mattek-Sands are seeking their fifth Grand Slam together.
