Sometimes, your opponent just really gets under your skin, or did something during the match that you just can’t let go of. When that happens, the idea of the traditional post-match handshake gets thrown out the window.

Martin Klizan is the latest recipient of the snub. Laurent Lokoli thought Klizan was faking an injury during the match and was generally "disrespectful."

It’s not the first time this has happened, nor will it be the last. Here are some other moments when a player decided the hands-off approach was best.

1

Tomas Berdych let Nicolas Almagro know he wasn’t pleased with being hit by the ball earlier in the match in their Australian Open encounter back in 2012.

2

Patty Schnyder was bothered by Conchita Martinez’s ball requests in their 2004 Family Circle Cup semifinal. At the end, she pulled off perhaps the greatest fake-out in tennis history.

Sometimes, the snub can happen before a ball is even struck. Such was the case with Eugenie Bouchard and Alexandra Dulgheru before their Fed Cup match in 2015. Dulgheru got her revenge on court, winning their tie to help Romania get the victory.

4

Lukas Rosol has been known to irritate a player or two… or three or four. Count Guillermo Garcia-Lopez among those ranks, even after his victory over the Czech in the 2015 Bucharest quarterfinals.

Wild moments all, but they lack the flair and flourish of Lokoli’s dismissive wave. The next snubber will have to do a lot to top that one.
