Newly engaged couple Sam Groth and Britt Boys sat down with Tennis Channel to talk about their relationship.

The two met at a small local club, which Boys called "fate." Boys has only just joined Groth traveling on tour, after finishing her studies at the University of Virginia.

Groth also opened up about how he planned the proposal around his busy schedule, choosing Paris where was competing in the Roland Garros qualifying draw.

The pair went on a bike ride around the city, ending with a picnic at the Luxembourg Gardens and Groth getting down on one knee.

"I had no idea," Boys said.

They have been together for six years, sharing an apartment in Virginia first and now moving into a house in Australia. Groth was the first to move into their new Melbourne home, while Boys will be surprised by some of the changes he's made.

And finally, Boys shared three things about Groth that fans would be surprised to know.
