There's a lot on the line on Saturday for Daria Gavrilova. The 23-year-old Australian is seeking her first career WTA title in Strasbourg against a familiar opponent,聽compatriot Samantha Stosur. If Gavrilova wins, she'll dethrone the world No. 24聽for the No. 1 Australian spot.

The world No. 25-ranked Gavrilova hit her stride this month in Madrid where she聽reached the quarterfinals by upsetting Svetlana Kuznetsova in a three-set battle. Her only complaint was not having footage of a special shot:

Gavrilova would whip out her drop shot again soon though. In Strasbourg, she聽outlasted another compatriot, Ashleigh Barty, with moves like this:

The match, which went to a third-set tiebreaker in Gavrilova's favor, left Barty with a souvenir:

Gavrilova then took out Caroline Garcia in straight sets on Friday. It's the first all-Australian WTA final since 2005 when Stosur lost to Alicia Molik in Sydney.

Gavrilova has contested just one final before (in Moscow last year). Stosur has won eight titles, including the US Open in 2011. They've played just once before with Gavrilova winning in Toronto two years ago.

Both will be dangerous dark horses to watch in Paris next week, but first, a final worth much more than a trophy.
