The history of champagne

Champagne is a sparkling wine that comes from the Champagne region of France, which is located in the Northeast.

Romans were the first to plant vineyards in this area, and while the exact date is unknown, it is widely speculated that champagne came to fruition in the 4th or 5th Century. Champagne has a massive range of sweetness, beginning with Brut Nature, which has between 0 and 3 grams of sugar per liter and no added sugar, all the way up to Doux, which translates to "sweet" and has 50 or more grams of sugar per liter.
