Marcelo Melo is an unlucky guy. During his quarterfinal doubles match in Rome, his partner Lukasz Kubot wound up for a serve, only to send it directly into the Brazilian's head. Melo immediately collapsed and stayed down before receiving ice and heading to his chair.

Melo and Kubot, who won Madrid last week together, went on to lose the match to Henri Kontinen and John Peers, 6-4, 7-6 (6).

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time that Melo has been targeted by friendly fire. Last year in Miami, Ivan Dodig slammed a forehand right at Melo's head.

Here's hoping Melo's head stays safe at Roland Garros.
