The Borg/McEnroe trailer is finally here

The former No. 1 American is played by the controversial Shia LaB

Hot on the heels of the Battle of the Sexestrailer release comes the Borg/McEnroe trailer teaser. The controversial Shia LaBeouf plays the famously hot-headed John McErnoe, while Iceland's Sverrir Gudnason tackles legendary ice man Bjorn Borg.

Much like Battle of the Sexes centers around a match (the historic 1973 battle between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs), the Borg/McEnroe drama is all about the 1980 Wimbledon final between the two rivals.

While King met (and hit) with her on-screen counterpart Emma Stone, McEnroe has not been included in the movie-making process.

“I don’t know if they are planning on doing the whole movie without input or any type of arrangement from me or Bjorn,”McEnroe said last year. “I haven’t seen anything, and they’ve already started the movie.”

The film is set to be released on September 15, one week before Battle of the Sexes.
