So this is what it's like when pop-culture titans collide.

Bradley Cooper, now appearing in the new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 smash and soon to direct Lady Gaga in the remake of A Star Is Born, stopped by The Ellen Show recently. His mission, in part: excelling at a charity pickup game of the so-called rocket tennis. Commence the "Tossed in Space" challenge, catalyzed by his and host Ellen DeGeneres' mutual affinity for this sport of the fuzzy yellow orb.

Cooper smashed the goal he needed, smacking a few more than the five requisite balls through a planet-laden apparatus set up for the occasion. And DeGeneres, to her credit, joined him by bashing a couple balls through the hole Cooper had created with his remarkably well-struck shots.

You know the racquet makers at Head were giddy over this segment.
