Cuban Snapshot of
the Day: Humble
beginnings

With both U.S. government and Cuban approval, Vermont’s Jake Agna and his team embarked on the first bricks-and-mortar project to take place in Cuba since the Eisenhower Administration at the National Tennis Center in Havana.

Agna is the founder of the Kids on the Ball, an award-winning tennis and mentoring program. After years of helping thousands of under-served, at-risk youth in America, Agna was committed to do the same in Cuba, despite a U.S. embargo.
