Former Texas Tech coach Tim Siegel's worst nightmare came true in July of 2015 when his then-nine-year-old son Luke was involved in a golf cart accident. Luke Siegel went into cardiac arrest and suffered severe brain injuries.

He has since made a lot of progress, rehabbing hard and working to regain his speech and muscle movements.

Through it all, the tennis community has shown tremendous support for the Siegel family. It hasn't just been college teams inspired by Luke's fight—even Rafael Nadal has sent his best wishes.
