Novak Djokovic is a character, there's no doubt about it. The Serb has been through plenty during his lengthy, successful career, especially on the dirt in Paris. Leading up to the next major of the season, Roland Garros is reveling in Djokovic's title run in 2016.

In the first published clip, titled "Round 1: The First Steps," the 29-year-old opens up about the expectations that weighed on him last year going into Paris.

There's also some flashback footage of Djokovic's early days at Roland Garros, with a guest appearance from three-time Roland Garros titlist Gustavo Kuerten.

In the second chapter, "Round 2: The Djoker," legends of the game comment on Djokovic's personality and charisma.

"What he wants, above all, is the recognition," said 1983 Roland Garros champion Yannick Noah, "He is constantly trying to seduce. It almost looks fake. He's a kid that wants... the attention. He sometimes does a bit much, but I am 100 percent sure that he is a good guy."

Over the past few years, Djokovic has done his best to appear likeable to the finicky Parisian crowds. There have been Micky Mouse shirts, exhibition appearances, rain delay antics, ball kid hug celebrations and jokes to go around.

"I try to balance things always and never leave the fun part behind," Djokovic said. "Which is very important for my personality, character and my life in general..."

After winning it all last year, Djokovic himself acknowledged that his relationship with Paris had changed.

"I felt like this year when I arrived that it's really different from any other year," Djokovic said. "The relationship and connection I had with fans and with people around that are contributing to the organization of the event, that I see on a daily basis, from security to ball boys, ball girls and all the people around, it was just different."

In case you forgot this incredible moment—the crowd offered their support in 2015 when Djokovic was stunned in the final by Stan Wawrinka.

One of the keys to succeeding is support, be it from the crowds or anywhere else, and Djokovic has finally got it in Paris.

"I felt that kind of support and love from the people around that allowed me to be sitting here with the trophy," he said last year. "That's for sure. That kind of support was very well present at the stadium today."
