So this is what it’s like when masterminds merge their talent, and when legends line up alongside each other.

The resurgent Roger Federer and business guru and philanthropist Bill Gates will find themselves on the same side of the court in Seattle’s Key Arena on April 29. The famous tandem is set to play as partners in an exhibition doubles event that will benefit the Roger Federer Charitable Fund and the RF Foundation.

The event, dubbed Match for Africa 4, will be hot on the heels of the successful Match for Africa 3 which featured Federer and Andy Murray.

John Isner will join the fray for a singles squaring-off against Federer after doubles action, the promos for which have teased a surprise celebrity guest. Which makes us wonder …

In actual ATP play, Federer has been downright resilient to date in 2017 in comparison to his relatively lackluster, injury-ridden two years prior. He’s owning Rafael Nadal and claiming big prizes, all behind the power of a didn’t-see-that-coming backhand weapon.

Exhibition appearances aside, Federer is expected back on court for Roland Garros next.
