Federer rocks April GQ cover

GQ magazine’s ongoing love affair with Roger Federer has made it to spring. (Was there any doubt?) Hot off titles at the Australian Open and BNP Paribas Open, as well as a late-2016 Most Stylish Man designation via Gentleman’s Quarterly, Federer has landed the coveted role of cover boy for the mag’s annual Style Bible issue.

That’s for the April issue, and in a video extra, he shows all the fellows how to dress for snowy weather:

"It's important to mess up, it's so important," Federer says in the clip. "You can't do everything perfect and you can't do everything right. And you live, you learn, and all this stuff. I've made some great choices, and some bad ones. It's important that you move on and that you pick yourself up and you keep going.

"And it's the same thing with fashion."

No real revelations to report from Federer’s feature story, though he addresses such matters as the La La Land ending (didn’t like it) and horses (scared of them). So though the cover story itself is borderline fluff, there’s nothing fluffy about Fed’s fashion sense, an amalgamation of classic motifs and cuts.

Like the wristwatch brand he wears, his style remains timeless.

Here’s to more in 2017 for the all-but-inarguable GOAT of tennis. When he goes, let it be on his own terms. That’s the wish of every player, and this one in particular has served the sport so well.
