Normally players answer the questions, not ask them. Sloane Stephens likes to shake things up on and off the court however, so she's appearing on the Tennis Channel regularly during Indian Wells.

The 23-year-old chatted with Shelby Rogers before her first round match in the BNP Paribas Open and then spent some time with Dustin Brown.

Stephens poked fun at Rogers, asking who her workout buddy was during the off-season that "pushed her so hard."

"There was this girl, Sloane Stephens. She was just bringing it every day," Rogers said. "She was pushing me and we had so much fun."

Stephens is still very much an interview subject as she also guest-starred on the Behind the Baseline podcast to talk about her foot injury and how she's dealing with all her free time.

"So I did have surgery in January after the Australian Open and I'm hoping to be playing by Wimbledon," Stephens said. "That's my goal and hopefully I can finish the season pretty strong and I'm looking forward to playing again."

The former No. 11 is going to have to fight her way back with a limited protected ranking, but for now, she's enjoying her time off to the fullest.

Stephens has the potential for a future career in journalism and is majoring in communications (online) at Indian University East.
