He can't listen to music while writing music, right?

Who doesn’t love listening to the rhythmic popping of tennis balls being struck back and forth over the net during a tennis match? Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator of hit Broadway shows Hamilton and In the Heights, enjoys it enough to write his music while listening to it.

It is no secret that Miranda loves tennis. He even brought the caps lock out when Rafael Nadal beat Grigor Dimitrov in a nearly five-hour-long marathon in the Australian Open semifinal.

But really, as is the case with most everything tennis-related, you can credit the creation of Hamilton to Roger Federer.

Miranda is still watching the 18-time Grand Slam champion. Even his recent Oscar nomination was a distraction from his time with Federer.
