Frances Tiafoe's dream came true in Acapulco on Tuesday night when he faced off against his idol, Juan Martin del Potro. The two seem to have developed quite the camaraderie despite the nine year age difference.

After Del Potro prevailed, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (1), they shared an embrace at the net.

This isn't the first time the 19-year-old American has pushed a former Top 10 star to the limit, losing the match but winning plenty of respect.

Last year, Tiafoe had John Isner on the ropes in the first round of the US Open, eventually falling 7-6 (3) in the fifth. The two shared a similar moment at the net afterward.
