The Acapulco tournament is one of the few (outside of the Slams) that features both ATP and WTA talent. Soccer was a great warmup for Mladenovic and Watson as the two would face off in a marathon three-and-a-half marathon in the second round with Mladenovic prevailing, 7-6 (4), 6-7 (5), 7-5.
