Taylor Fritz's first-round match against Adrian Mannarino in Acapulco had a small delay when a moth landed on the court. Most of the time the player just sweeps the bug away before playing on, but this little one was tenacious and he was not leaving without a fight.

Just add moths to the list of on-court invasions (which includes cats, snakes, dogs, bats, birds, insects of all sizes and even cows).

Fritz was getting visibly frustrated by the situation, when the ballperson—who was watching the entire time—found a solution. A quick stomp of her foot ended things for the moth and the match continued on with Fritz dropping the next two points to lose the second set tiebreaker. Much to his displeasure, the American would lose the match, 3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4.

The 19-year-old laughed the moth mishap off, probably because he just tried saving the life of an insect. But that moment marked a change in momentum, so he may be wary next time a rogue bug is harmed mid-match.
