Fans have really been lucking out on and off the court these days. First, a University of Missouri student got a date with Eugenie Bouchard after a Twitter bet, and now two recreational players were surprised with a hit with Serena Williams after she strolled past them on a walk with her dog Chip.

"I’m thinking about asking these guys if I could hit just to see their reaction," the world No. 1 said on Snapchat as she walked past the courts.

Williams didn’t have her usual Nike’s on, instead wearing a pair of flat black boots.

"Don’t do this at home!" she said.

The two players were visibly stoked by the visit of a 23-time Grand Slam champion, and Williams had this to say about her spontaneous night practice:

"So the moral of the story is: You never know when I'm going to be coming to a tennis court near you."
