The Rio Open has kicked off, and Austria's top star Dominic Thiem was quick to take advantage of all the beautiful attractions that Brazil has to offer.

Thiem ventured to the famous Copacabana beach ahead of his first-round match against Janko Tipsarevic.

The 23-year-old is no stranger to brilliant beaches, having also paid a visit to an unforgettable (and artificial) beach in Sydney earlier this year.

Kei Nishikori, the top seed, has also done some settling in of his own in the picturesque Brazilian city.

Thiem is seeded second at the ATP 500 event.
