Stefan Kozlov, the No. 2 seed at the Tempe Challenger in Arizona, pulled off two contenders for hot shot of the month—in one point.

Early in the second set of his second-round match against Roberto Quiroz, the young American hit a deep approach shot that Quiroz tracked down. As he was backtracking, Kozlov hit a tweener volley from the baseline that Quiroz had to scramble to get back. Kozlov then went for a lob that seemed like it would be an easy putaway for the Ecuadorean. Instead, Kozlov was ready for that smash with one of his own, down the line.

As Kozlov noted in his Instagram post, it did seem like something shot-making legend Dustin Brown would pull off.

However, that smash-off-a-smash might be a little more reminiscent of this shot from Roger Federer against Andy Roddick more than a decade ago.

It's certainly a rarity to see something like this in the sport.

Kozlov, just 19 years old, is ranked No. 120.
