On his path to becoming one of the greatest to ever play the game, Rafael Nadal has had his uncle and coach, Toni Nadal, there with him every step of the way.

As recently announced, though, Uncle Toni will stop traveling with his nephew when the 2017 season wraps up. He'll focus on training young, rising players at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca.

In recognition of all the Spanish duo has accomplished together, here’s a look back at some of their most memorable achievements.

• At his hometown event in Mallorca, 15-year-old Nadal won his first match on the ATP World Tour.

• Nadal captured ATP Challenger titles in Segovia, Spain, and Aix En Provence, France, to catapult himself into a Top 50 finish on the year.

• At the Miami Masters 1000 tournament, Nadal faced Roger Federer, the player who would become his greatest rival, for the first time and beat him in straight sets.

• Nadal also won his first title on the ATP Tour (in Sopot, Poland) and helped Spain win the Davis Cup title.

• Things kicked into high gear as Nadal won 11 titles, including his first French Open.

• He took on Federer in their first final showdown (in Miami, again), but lost in five sets.
