For anyone who wondered if Eugenie Bouchard would actually honor a date she agreed to over Twitter when the New England Patriots came back against the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl, the Canadian is answering those questions on Wednesday night.

Bouchard is going to the Brooklyn Nets game against the Milwaukee Bucks with her date, John Goehrke, a 20-year-old student at the University of Missouri.

“After all the media attention it got, it was something I first of all could not back out of. There was no chance,” Bouchard said on SI's Extra Mustard. “I was worried, however. When I looked at his Twitter profile and his profile picture was a photo of Tiger Woods, I was like, ‘It’s one of those Twitter fans. I don’t even know what he looks like. What’s going to happen?’ But it turns out that he seems to be a very nice boy.”

While it is unlikely Goehrke will end up in Bouchard’s player box at an upcoming tournament, he will be able to brag to his friends that he's gone on a date with a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model.

On Wednesday, Bouchard appeared on various networks including CBS and PIX 11, to talk about her first swimsuit appearance for SI. She also finally got to dive into a print edition of the magazine.

While her date at the Barclays Center might end up being great, the real reason she's in New York City has been more obvious.
