Destiny's Child may or may not be reuniting for a tour in the future. After all, why else would a verified Instagram account promoting Destiny's daughters have debuted four months ago? But that's beside the point here.
Over time, the DC3 ladies, specifically Beyoncé, have enjoyed their respective interactions or scene-sharing with Serena Williams.
Promoting her new film *Love by the 10th Date* with an Essence Live TV interview, Kelly Rowland tells of meeting Serena at a concert years ago. She was almost immediately struck by the all-but-inarguable GOAT's personality.
"It was all of her energy and how great she was—and is," Rowland dished to the Essence host.
Their first impressions led Serena to invite Rowland and some other newfound friends to an undisclosed pro tennis match. "'You guys want to see me whup up on these girls?'" Rowland recalls Serena saying at the time, likely paraphrasing her racquet-wielding pal's words.
Prompted to speak to Serena's greatness, Rowland didn't balk:
"She is the best athlete of our time—yes, but because she's female, the best female athlete of our time. I'm so proud of her, and so excited for her!"
In addition to saluting the world No. 1, Rowland also relished over her friendships with Ciara and LaLa Anthony, who are well-known associates of the Haus of Williams.
